Hello from the Broadbeach Croquet players and friends.
It feels like summer has left us and the drop in temperature will be more appealing for playing croquet in the coming months. Association croquet is still getting players along on a Tuesday and Saturday morning. Those who play enjoy their time trying to outwit their opponents.
The Pennant season of competition has commenced and the golf croquet players are enjoying being challenged by the players from the Gold Coast Regional Clubs. The teams are enjoying the competition and celebrating their wins or trying to outsmart their competitor to get a good run to the hoop.
The lawn is looking good and playing on it is very pleasing for our members. It is so good to give a positive comment on the playing surface after all the concerns of recent years. Wednesday afternoon golf croquet is still being enjoyed by game play and a social gathering following — mostly the dinner is from a takeaway place.
Tuesday and Saturday Association play starts from about 8:30am. Players from other clubs are welcome to come along and enjoy their time on morning plus catch up with a morning cuppa with the Broadbeach.
Thanks for reading our news and thanks to Margaret and Barbara who produce the quarterly read for you. Have a wonderful and safe Easter season.
