Eildon has started 2026 with an increase in numbers which has led to a change in the number of sessions for Golf Croquet. Monday mornings, Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings have been added to give our members more time on the courts.

Our members have been out and about visiting other clubs and entering competitions. Our members have visited Ipswich, the Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs and Wynnum.

Darling Downs

In February, four golf players nominated for the Metropolitan Doubles at Wynnum. Robert and Jill had four wins while Robert and Lorraine won two of their block games. Golf and Association players visited the Darling Downs tournaments. Our Association players did well. Keith played in the Renee Cole Competition and scored his first Triple Peel. Congratulations on this achievement Keith.

Casey and Mike played in Div 2-4 where Casey won 5 games and came first in his block. Mike won three games and came third. Well done Casey and Mike.

Fundraising and Community

Eildon also had a Bunnings BBQ early in March on a very wet Sunday. Despite the inclement weather a very small profit was made. Our Charity for the Year, The Breakfast Club, certainly enjoyed our donation of sausages and bread.

We also had a very interesting information session by one of our sponsors, Metropolitan Funerals, who covered such topics as preplanned funerals and Assisted Dying Information. The presenters were very happy to answer the many questions posed by our members.

Eildon is hosting a Gala Day on 12 April.
